Dionne Ong has extensive experience in design and digital marketing. Dionne started their career as a Freelance Web Designer, Illustrator, and Graphics Designer in 2009, specializing in digital painting and rendering. In 2012, they worked as a Designer at Lacunawolf until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Senior UX/UI Designer at LocalSphere Digital Media Inc. Dionne then worked as a UI/UX Designer and Web Strategist at their own company, DIONNE ONG, from 2015 to 2017, managing people, projects, and building websites. In 2017, they joined Blast Radius as a Senior Designer, working with clients such as SaskTel, The Rick Hansen Foundation, and FIDO until 2018. From 2016 to 2019, Dionne served as an Instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they developed their passion for teaching and mentorship. Currently, they are at Kabam, where they started as a Senior Visual Designer in 2019 before being promoted to Principal Visual Designer in February 2021. At Kabam, they primarily work with Marvel and Disney IPs, focusing on marketing art direction, UI, and interaction design. Dionne is dedicated to bridging the gap between business strategy and customer needs, creating seamless and emotional online experiences.
Dionne Ong has completed a Senior Management Certificate in New Media Design and Web Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition, Dionne has also attended a 10K Bootcamp: Web Professional Sales & Strategy program at uAcademy and a User Experience Design course at BrainStation. Furthermore, Dionne has completed a Foundation Year program at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
