Kevin Lamprecht has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Kevin'smost recent position was at Kabam, where they worked as a Senior Quest Designer on Marvel Contest of Champions. In this role, they were responsible for encounter design and quest content for high-level and end-game players. Kevin also managed a team of three other quest designers. Kevin created a series of highly challenging fights called Eternity of Pain, which utilized niche parts of champion RPG kits and interactions to test player knowledge and execution. Kevin designed and scripted unique buffs for these fights to highlight different aspects of each champion's kit. Before their role as a Senior Quest Designer, Kevin was a Quest Designer for the same company. Kevin regularly created content for monthly Story Event quests, including map design, regular encounters, and boss encounters featuring new champions added to the game. Over time, they became the point of contact for these quests and ensured their design and content were streamlined and consistent month to month.
Before their time at Kabam, Kevin worked at The Coalition Studio as a Multiplayer Gameplay Designer for Gears 5. Kevin was responsible for weapon tuning and game balance for all PvP game modes. Kevin conducted feedback sessions and playtests with players of various skill levels to design weapons that were balanced for both casual and competitive players in a PvP environment.
Prior to their work in the gaming industry, Kevin held positions as a Game Designer at airG Inc., a User Experience Designer at Evident Point Software, and a Marketing Intern at ZE PowerGroup.
Kevin Lamprecht attended Simon Fraser University from 2011 to 2017, where they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Arts and Technology.
