Reid Howard has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Reid currently works at Kabam as a Software Engineer, starting in March 2020. Before that, they spent a significant amount of time at MDA, where they held various roles as a Software Engineer. As a Software Engineer III, they worked from January 2016 to March 2020, primarily focusing on critical maintenance for software releases of a system aimed at modernizing instrument flight procedure design. During this role, they also fixed memory leaks and bugs in terrain processing algorithms, wrote unit tests, introduced compiler optimizations, created a Python tool, and wrote user documentation. Prior to this, from July 2012 to December 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer II at MDA. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer I from December 2010 to June 2012, where they were involved in the Aviation - IPDS Project, performing critical maintenance and implementing formal requirements for instrument flight procedure design. Reid also has experience as a Research Assistant at Rutgers University from July 2009 to September 2010 and as a Teaching Assistant from August 2007 to May 2009.
Reid Howard completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College in the year 2006. Following this, Reid pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University from 2007 to 2010.
