Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from Clemson University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2013. For their undergraduate education, SJ attended Kyung Hee University, where they obtained two degrees. From 2004 to 2010, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Golf Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, SJ has also obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they completed "The Complete SQL Bootcamp 2020" from Udemy. Sukjoon "SJ" also holds a Tableau Desktop Certified Professional Certification from Tableau Software, which they acquired in July 2020.
