Thomas Kurth has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Thomas most recently worked at KACO new energy as the Head of Sales DACH since September 2023. Prior to that, they were the Manager Key Account Region South at GLS Germany GmbH & Co. OHG from July 2021 to August 2023.
Before joining GLS Germany, Thomas worked at DHL Express. Thomas held multiple positions within the company, including Major Customer Executive from October 2019 to June 2021, Sales Manager from April 2017 to October 2019, and Junior Sales Manager from October 2015 to March 2017.
Additionally, Thomas had academic roles at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and Universität Koblenz-Landau. Thomas served as a Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg from August 2010 to March 2012, and again from December 2012 to July 2014. Thomas also worked as a Projektleiter at Universität Koblenz-Landau from May 2012 to November 2012.
Thomas Kurth has a varied education history. Thomas attended ATV / Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft München in 2014, where they completed the Zertifikatsmodule A + B in Marketing & Vertrieb / Betriebswirtschaftslehre & Management. Prior to that, they studied at Technische Universität Chemnitz from 2000 to 2009, earning a Magister Artium (M.A.) in Angewandte Sprachwissenschaft / Interkulturelle Kommunikation / Sportwissenschaft. In 2006, Thomas Kurth participated in an Auslandssemester / Auslandspraktikum at Eidgenössische Hochschule für Sport, Magglingen (CH), focusing on Sportmanagement / Projektmanagement / Ausbildung & Lehre.
KACO new energy
KACO new energy, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, is amongst the world’s largest manufacturers of solar PV inverters. The product line-up recommends itself for the full power spectrum from PV systems for single-family homes and commercial and industrial enterprises to solar parks producing megawatts of electricity. KACO new energy is based in Neckarsulm, near Stuttgart, Germany and has supplied more than 900.000 inverters since 1999. The company was the first inverter manufacturer to achieve fully carbon-neutral production as early as 2006. Today, the offering also includes hybrid and battery inverters for energy storage, accessories for grid management and operations and maintenance services. In 2014, KACO new energy celebrated the centenary of the original company which was one of the first suppliers of inverters in the late 1930s.
