Emilio Abelmann has a diverse work experience that spans several different organizations and roles. In 2018, they served as a Health Center Volunteer at the Ministerio de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social. In 2019, they worked as a Communications and Research Intern at Results for America. From 2022 to 2023, they were a Project Management Consultant at Edgecombe County Public Schools and a Researcher in the Open Design Studio at Duke University's Bass Connections program. Emilio also held multiple roles at Duke University, including Student Tour Guide and Admissions Ambassador, Student Representative for the Board of Trustees Strategic Engagement Program, and Transformative Ideas Fellow. Emilio then went on to attend Duke University from 2021 to 2025, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree. At Duke, they majored in Philosophy and Sociology, and minored in Political Science and Data Science. Additionally, during the same period from 2021 to 2025, Emilio also attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue another Bachelor's degree, with the field of study unspecified.
