Abbey Thomas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Abbey began their career at B2 Cheer and Dance as a Cheer Camp Instructor from April 2013 to December 2015. Abbey then joined Ouachita Baptist University, where they served as a Public Relations Campaign Digital Team Leader, a Staff Writer for "The Signal" Newspaper, and a Section Editor for the "Ouachitonian" Yearbook from January 2017 to May 2017. Abbey also worked at Murdoch University as a member of the Public Relations Campaign Committee from February 2016 to July 2016.
In 2017, Abbey started their role as a Public Relations, Social Media, and Photography Intern at National Park College from May to July. Abbey also began their journey at Baylor University, where they held multiple positions. From August 2017 to December 2019, Abbey worked as a Social Media and Recruitment Graduate Assistant and as a Journalism, Public Relations, and New Media Teaching Assistant. During this time, they also served as the Campaign Creative Director for Edible Arrangements Waco from January 2019 to May 2019.
Abbey's passion for philanthropy and social causes led their to work as a Board of Directors Member for the Philanthropy Lab from January 2019 to May 2019. Abbey also gained valuable experience as a Public Relations and Communications Intern at the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center from September 2018 to December 2018. In this role, Abbey handled various responsibilities such as website building, graphic design, event promotion, volunteering management, and photography/videography.
Abbey continued to expand their marketing and communications expertise at SC3G Media, where they worked as a Social Media Content Manager from September 2016 to October 2022. Currently, Abbey is employed at Kahuna as a Marketing Coordinator since March 2020 and has recently transitioned into the role of Marketing Specialist in January 2022.

Abbey Thomas completed their high school education at Lake Hamilton High School from 2009 to 2013. Abbey then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at Ouachita Baptist University from 2013 to 2017, majoring in Mass Communications and Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. In 2016, they participated in a Study Abroad/Exchange program at Murdoch University, focusing on International/Global Studies.
