David Sharp

David Sharp has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. David co-founded KAIKAKU in 2023 and serves as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, they were the Head of Engineering - Autonomous Mobility at Ocado Technology from 2021 to 2023. From 2013 to 2021, David held the position of Head of Technology 10x at Ocado, where they led an innovation team focused on developing cutting-edge machine learning and robotic technologies. Before joining Ocado, David worked at Charteris plc as a Partner, Head of Due Diligence, and Head of Services to the Legal Profession. David began their career as an Apprentice at Thorn EMI Electronics and later worked as a Lecturer at Imperial College, where they taught multimedia systems, networks, and communications.

David Sharp attended King's College, Cambridge from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Electrical Sciences. David then pursued their higher education at Imperial College London from 1986 to 1990, earning a Ph.D. in Computing. In 1994, they attended the Imperial College Management School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on New Ventures.

In terms of certifications, David Sharp became a Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in June 2014. David also received the certifications of Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Fellow of the British Computer Society from the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in July 2008.

Additionally, David Sharp has additional certifications as a CEDR-Accredited Mediator from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and as a Chartered Arbitrator from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
