Petr Yakovlev

Petr Yakovlev has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Petr currently works at Kairos Aerospace as the Lead Senior Data Scientist and Science Communicator, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Data Scientist & Science Communicator at the same company from October 2021 to June 2023.

In 2023, Petr also took on an advisory role at Uroboros Innovations.

Before joining Kairos Aerospace, they worked for the U.S. Government as an Analyst from March 2020 to October 2021.

Petr started their career as a Geologist at the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology from June 2016 to January 2020. Petr also worked as a Visiting Instructor at Western Illinois University from January 2016 to May 2016.

During their time at the University of Michigan, Petr served as a Research Assistant for a few months from September 2015 to December 2015 and as a Graduate Research Assistant/Instructor from September 2010 to August 2015.

Before that, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Boston College from May 2007 to July 2010, and also held the position of Student Technology Specialist from January 2007 to May 2010.

Petr Yakovlev completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Boston College in the years 2006 to 2010. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Structural Geology from the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2015.
