Samantha McMillan has extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on flight systems and antenna software. From 2021 to the present, they have served as a Senior Flight Systems Software Engineer at Kairos Aerospace, where they are responsible for building, testing, maintaining, and scaling flight software that detects fugitive methane emissions. Prior to this, Samantha worked at Amazon from 2019 to 2021 as a Senior Software Development Engineer on the antenna team of Project Kuiper, where they supported the antenna engineer's software needs and played a key role in building and iterating on software for phased array prototypes and creating reference implementations. Earlier in their career, Samantha worked at Harris Corporation from 2012 to 2019 as a Software Engineer, where they held various leadership roles and was responsible for designing, building, and testing the User Services Gateway element of NASA's Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment program.

Samantha McMillan attended New Mexico State University from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained two Bachelor's degrees. Samantha'sfirst degree was in Chemistry, and their second degree was in Computer Science.
