Lee Garrett has extensive experience in metallurgical engineering and quality management within various industries, including aerospace, medical implants, and food safety. Currently serving as Manufacturing Quality Manager and Ingot Quality Superintendent at Kaiser Aluminum since December 2015, Lee manages quality systems and oversees the Metallurgy group in the ingot department while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations for food contact materials. Previously, Lee held positions at Buehler as a Roll Coat Metallurgist and Materials Engineer, Exova Group Limited as a Metallurgical Engineer, and Sherry Labs as Supervisor of Metallurgical Engineering, where team leadership and technical education were key responsibilities. Lee began a career in metallurgical engineering as an intern at Fairfield Manufacturing following the attainment of a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University in 2006.
