Matthew P. Banegas

Matthew P. Banegas is an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine since January 2021 and serves as a Member at UC San Diego Health - Moores Cancer Center from June 2021. Additionally, Matthew P. Banegas holds the position of Senior Affiliate Investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research and previously worked as an Investigator and Clinical Investigator at Kaiser Permanente until January 2021. Teaching experience includes lecturer roles at UC Berkeley School of Public Health and Portland State University. Matthew P. Banegas completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, focusing on cancer prevention, and served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Washington.
