Amanda Flaum

Amanda Flaum serves as the Vice President for California and Hawaii Medicaid at Kaiser Permanente, starting in December 2022, where Amanda leads the health plan strategy and operations. Previously, Amanda held the position of Chief Operating Officer at CenCal Health, managing healthcare operations for a County Organized Health System. As an Executive Healthcare Consultant from March 2019 to December 2021, Amanda provided strategic guidance to improve organizational outcomes and customer experiences. Notably, Amanda was the Chief Executive Officer of Aetna Better Health of California for a short tenure in 2020, overseeing Medi-Cal health plan operations. Additionally, Amanda served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan, where efforts led to the successful integration of a $2 billion health plan and significant operational improvements that achieved nearly $1 billion in savings. Amanda received executive education at Harvard Business School focused on women's leadership.
