Chinyere Ogugu

Chinyere Ogugu is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Medical Tester at Shoreline Diagnostics since February 2023. Additionally, Chinyere is a Scholar in the CDU Biomedical Sciences Enrichment Program through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and a Student Mentor at the Opportunity Scholars Public Health Academy, both roles initiated in October 2022. Chinyere acts as an Ambassador for the AltaMed-CDU Health Careers Opportunity Program, where responsibilities include developing mentor/mentee relationships and gaining clinical experience. Previous positions include Student Clinical Research Assistant at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and a Student Intern at Physicians Medical Forum. Chinyere's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Charles R. Drew University and a Bachelor's degree in Global Disease Biology from the University of California, Davis. Chinyere also held leadership roles at UC Davis, including President of the Nigerian Student Association.
