Esme Cullen

Esme Cullen currently serves as the Executive Director and Chief Health Equity Officer for National Medicaid at Kaiser Permanente since January 2024. Previously, Esme held the position of Site Medical Director at Marin Community Clinics from October 2020 to January 2024, overseeing clinical operations for the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Marin County, which caters to around 36,000 Medicaid and uninsured patients. Esme's extensive experience also includes a tenure as an Internal Medicine Physician at Kaiser Permanente from July 2016 to July 2021, as well as involvement in women's health policy with the Henry J Kaiser Family Foundation and socioeconomic research with Health In Harmony. Esme holds a Bachelor's degree in Literary Arts from Brown University, a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco.
