Matt Brown

Matt Brown has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Matt started their career as a Histotechnician at UniPath, LLC in 2007 and worked there until 2010. Matt then joined Dako as a Field Technical Service Representative in 2010 before moving to American Pathology Partners/UniPath, LLC in 2011. At American Pathology Partners/UniPath, LLC, they served as a Research & Development Histotechnologist and later became a Histotechnology Trainer. In 2014, Matt joined AmeriPath as an Anatomic Pathology Supervisor and Histotechnologist. Matt worked at AmeriPath until 2016 when they joined Kaiser Permanente. At Kaiser Permanente, Matt held various roles including Histotechnologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, and currently serves as the Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist. Matt's most recent work experience includes a role as a Reserve Paramedic at SABLE-ALTURA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT starting in 2022.

Matt Brown's education history includes obtaining an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Arapahoe Community College. Matt then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Natural Sciences from Excelsior University. Matt also attended the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences but did not complete a specific degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Additionally, they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Paramedicine from Community College of Aurora.

In terms of certifications, Matt obtained various qualifications including Advanced Burn Life Support from the American Burn Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) also from the American Heart Association. Matt also holds certifications such as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, EMT-P from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Histotechnologist (HTL(ASCP)) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), and Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS(ASCP)) from the ASCP.
