Yan Li, MD, PhD, serves as the Chair of the Kaiser Permanente National GI Oncology Program and the Chair of the CoC Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program for Kaiser Permanente East Bay. With extensive experience in hematology and oncology, Yan Li has held roles such as Chief of Hematology/Oncology and is a member of the National Oncology Drug Strategy Team and the Kaiser Permanente Clinical Trial Steering Committee. Additionally, Yan Li represents community oncology on two committees within the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and has been an angel investor with Life Science Angels since July 2011. Previous academic involvement includes a position as Clinical Associate Professor at UCSF Medical Center from 2012 to 2017. Yan Li's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Beijing University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Neurobiology and Anatomy from Temple University, an internship in Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from UC San Diego.
