David Lennie has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of data science, analytics, and strategy. David is currently serving as the Chief Strategy & Data Officer at Kajabi since March 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Vice President in Data Science and Engineering at Shopify from September 2015 to September 2018. During their time at Shopify, David focused on developing and leading the data & analytics organization across all areas of the business.

Before joining Shopify, David worked at LearnVest, Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Analytics from January 2014 to September 2014. At LearnVest, they launched the analytics organization for the venture-backed startup and built a team of analytics engineers and data scientists.

From 2009 to 2013, David served as the Director of Data Science & Engineering at Netflix, where they played a crucial role in the development and implementation of data science strategies.

Prior to that, they worked at PLBY Group, Inc. as the Director of Business Intelligence from April 2004 to April 2009, and at KPMG as a Senior Consultant/Global Financial Reporting Lead from July 2002 to April 2004.

David also has experience as an Independent Consultant at Data Warehouse Consulting Group, where they overhauled a data warehouse system to improve its performance and drive broader adoption of the analytics platform.

Earlier in their career, they held positions at MicroStrategy as a Senior Sales Consultant and Global Alliance Manager from March 1999 to April 2001, at Baan as an Implementation Consultant from 1998 to 1999, and at SAP Retail (formerly Campbell Software) as a Support Consultant from 1997 to 1998.

David Lennie completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies - Rhetorical Theory with a minor in Political Science from Northwestern University. David pursued this degree from 1992 to 1996. Later, they attended The Wharton School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree between 2012 and 2014. The field of study for their MBA is not specified.
