Sandino Vargas-Pérez, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Kalamazoo College since July 2018, focusing on areas such as Computer Science Education, High-Performance Computing, Parallel and Distributed Algorithms, Computational Genomics, and Data Structures and Compression. Prior to this role, Sandino served as an Adjunct Instructor and Research Assistant at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Michigan University, contributing to research on big data in genomics and high-performance computing.
