Abbey Flentje

Abbey Flentje is an experienced library professional with a strong background in youth services and digital transcription. Since January 2018, Abbey has served as a Youth Librarian I at Kalamazoo Public Library, where previous roles included law library intern, tech intern, and library aide. Abbey also worked as Direct Care Staff at Family & Children Services, Inc. from July 2019 to May 2022, and as an independent contractor specializing in digital transcription from March 2016 to May 2022. Prior to these roles, Abbey held various editorial positions at The Campanil from August 2013 to May 2017, including Editor in Chief. Abbey earned a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University (2019-2022) and a bachelor's degree from Mills College (2013-2017).
