Jim Clarey

Jim Clarey has extensive experience in library systems and information technology, currently serving as the Integrated Library System Administrator at Kalamazoo Public Library since July 1995. In this role, Jim manages the SirsiDynix card catalog and various databases and interfaces. Previous experience includes working as an Information Systems Analyst, where Jim focused on Integrated Library Systems Administration, SQL database management, and web development. Additionally, from January 2010 to April 2018, Jim taught several courses at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, covering topics such as database programming and systems analysis. Jim's career began in the US Army, serving with the 27th Engineer Battalion at Ft Bragg, North Carolina, from 1986 to 1989. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Professional Studies from Western Michigan University.
