Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Kaleida Health

Shannon Bryant, LMHC, was named chief diversity and inclusion officer for Kaleida Health in November 2020.

Bryant joined Kaleida Health from Person Centered Services, a Care Coordination Organization (CCO) that connect individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the care, support and opportunities that maximize their quality of life. There, she served as director of learning, development and diversity and was responsible for creating and driving the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

Prior to that, Bryant was director of clinical care coordination at Evergreen Health where she oversaw care coordination services for the Health Home program.

In her role at Kaleida Health, Bryant is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of diversity plans for Kaleida Health. In addition, she optimizes organizational culture by being a leading resource focused on ensuring Kaleida Health programs and activities are inclusive of all populations to reflect the patients and communities we serve.

Bryant also works with Kaleida Health’s multidisciplinary, employee-driven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – Race, Diversity & Inclusion, Veterans, LGBTQ and Working Parents/Caregivers – and the system-wide Inclusion Council to bring important issues to Human Resources and the executive team to help drive strategic priorities and cultural transformation.

Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and master’s degree in health counseling from Canisius College. She is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Leadership Buffalo graduate and board member of the Neighborhood Health Center of WNY as well as the YMCA Delaware Branch.
