Claire Jacobs

Claire Jacobs has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and research. Claire started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics, where they assisted postdocs in laboratory experiments and maintained the lab inventory. Claire then joined Silvec Biologics as a Research Technician, contributing to the research team by preparing reagents, assisting with experiments, and maintaining plants in the growth chamber and greenhouse. Claire also gained skills in various techniques such as cell preparation, transformation, and protein purification. Claire later interned at AstraZeneca as an Immunology Intern, further expanding their knowledge in the field. After that, Claire took up a role at the University of Maryland Recreation and Wellness as a Challenge Course Facilitator, where they led groups of students through team-based exercises for leadership development and enforced safe climbing practices. Currently, they are working as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at KaliVir Immunotherapeutics.

Claire Jacobs attended the University of Maryland from 2018 to 2023, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc degree. Their field of study was Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics, with a minor in Neuroscience. In 2022, Claire studied abroad at DIS, focusing on Neuroscience.
