Brett Lauring is the current Chief Marketing Officer at Kallyope. Prior to joining Kallyope, Brett served as the Vice President, Head Translational Research & Early Clinical, GI at Takeda from June 2018 to December 2018. Brett has also held the position of Executive Director, Clinical Research , Late Stage Development, Diabetes & Endocrinology at Merck from June 2007 to June 2018. Brett's experience also includes working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Columbia University Medical Center from October 1999 to June 2007 and as a Resident in Anatomic Pathology at New York Presbyterian Hospital from July 1996 to September 1999.

Brett Lauring attended Yale University for their undergraduate degree, where they studied philosophy. Brett then attended NYU School of Medicine for their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees, studying cellular & molecular biology. Brett is certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology.

They work with Adam Goulburn - Director, Ann Weber - SVP, Preclinical Development, and Shirly Pinto - SVP, Drug Discovery-Biology. Brett Lauring reports to Nancy Thornberry, CEO.
