Elitsa Stoyanova

Scientist at Kallyope

Elitsa Stoyanova is currently a scientist at Kallyope. Prior to that, they were a researcher at Ithaca College from September 2011 to June 2014, where they worked on a neurodevelopmental project studying the in vivo dynamics of a neuropeptide expression and localizations. Elitsa also contributed to a project characterizing the structure and function of a bacterial polysaccharide deacetylase. In addition to their research, they also served as an information technology specialist and teaching assistant at Ithaca College from August 2011 to May 2014.

In September 2018, Stoyanova founded the Data Science Initiative at The Rockefeller University, which they ran until December 2019. During that time, they also founded the Neurogenomics Journal Club in September 2017, which they ran until May 2018. Elitsa has been a graduate student at The Rockefeller University since June 2014 and is expected to graduate in December 2020.
