Matt Warr

Matt Warr is the current Director & Head of Immunology & Inflammation Research at Kallyope. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist II at Gilead Sciences from January 2019 to June 2020. Matt also served as a Senior Research Scientist at Gilead Sciences from January 2017 to January 2019 and as a Research Scientist from January 2014 to January 2017. Warr began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco from January 2009 to January 2014, where they studied the mechanisms regulating hematopoietic stem cell survival in normal and leukemic hematopoiesis under the supervision of Dr. Emmanuelle Passegué. Matt was also a Leukemia and Lymphoma Special Fellow from 2012-2014. Warr holds a PhD from McGill University, which they obtained in December 2008 after completing their studies in January 2004.

Matt Warr has a PhD in Biochemistry from McGill University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Queen’s University.

They are on a team with Brett Lauring - CMO, Ben Van De Graaf - Director, Operations & People, and Carlos Guerrero - Director, Process Chemistry. Matt Warr reports to Jay Galeota, CEO & President.
