Chet Nieter

Chet Nieter is an accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in software development and engineering. As a Principal Engineer at Kitware Inc. since February 2016, Chet has contributed significantly to various projects. Prior to this role, Chet served as a Senior Software Engineer at BAE Systems, Inc. (formerly Signal Innovations Group), where responsibilities included enhancing the TASS video tracking software. Chet's earlier tenure as a Research Scientist at Tech-X Corporation involved leading the development of the Vorpal multi-physics software framework. Chet initiated a research-focused career at the University of Colorado at Boulder, first as a Research Associate, and later earned a PhD in Physics from the same institution. Chet also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from The Ohio State University.
