Peri Akiva

Peri Akiva is a highly skilled research scientist currently employed at Kitware Inc. since June 2023, specializing in computer vision. Previous experience includes a role as a computer vision researcher and teaching assistant at Rutgers University from September 2017 to January 2023. Peri has held various internships, including positions at Meta as a research scientist intern, Kitware Inc. as a computer vision research intern, Samsung Research America, and Siemens, focusing on computer vision and machine learning applications. Early experience includes machine learning research at Paramathics and software engineering at WINLAB, where Peri developed applications utilizing convolutional neural networks. Educationally, Peri Akiva holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, all from Rutgers University.
