Ilan Shalem

Ilan Shalem has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Ilan is currently working as the SVP R&D, Media & Telecom at Kaltura since 2023. Prior to that, Ilan worked at Varonis as the Director Of Engineering from 2018 to 2023, leading multiple R&D groups and overseeing various product aspects, including privacy & compliance, data protection, and cloud security. From 2016 to 2019, Ilan served as the VP R&D at Zoomd, managing the development and delivery of their search and mobile marketing platforms. Before that, they worked as the VP R&D at ClickDimensions, overseeing the development of two cloud products related to marketing automation and campaign management. Ilan's work experience also includes roles such as R&D Manager at Logic Industries (AGT International), where they managed development teams for complex security systems, and VP R&D at Profitect, Inc., where they played a crucial role in building a BI product for fraud and loss prevention in the retail industry. Ilan also worked at ECTel as an R&D Manager and Team Leader, focusing on fraud management and revenue intelligence, and at Bank Leumi as a Team Leader for a CRM system development project. Finally, Ilan started their career as a Team Leader at ESI Expert Systems Industries Ltd.

Ilan Shalem completed their education at the Open University of Israel from 2003 to 2007, earning a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and Business Administration. Prior to that, they attended the Technical College of the IAF from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a certification as a Certified Technician in Computers & Electronics. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance and as a Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft.
