Fernando Ruiz

Fernando Ruiz has extensive work experience in finance and business planning. In 2016, they co-founded and worked as finance manager at Kambista, a startup that is the first online currency exchange in the Peruvian market. In 2018, they became a Financial Analyst - Technology at Economical Insurance, where they reviewed current budget for the IT area and elaborated the 2019 budget based on current expenses, goals and growth expectations. From 2010 to 2013, they held multiple roles at Universidad del Pacífico (PE), such as Teaching Assistant and Freelance Research Assistant, where they worked on projects aiming to develop effective public policies regarding public health, public education and early childhood development. From 2013 to 2011, they were a Business Planner at Hiperdeporte, where they evaluated and assessed sales, stocks and margins for every store according to seasonal market trends and specific sporting events. Additionally, they were an Investment Strategy and Economic Studies Intern at Banco de Crédito BCP, where they prepared cash flows and valuation models of companies, stocks and fixed income instruments. Lastly, they were a Planning, internal control and business intelligence intern at Interseguro Compañía de Seguros, where they supported the process of monitoring budgets and forecasting and developed an optimal insurance consumer profile using quantitative methods, sales data, and consumer data.

Fernando Ruiz obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (PE) between 2008 and 2013. In February 2022, they completed a Data, Economics, and Development Policy certification from MITx MicroMasters® Programs.
