James Collins has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions and organizations. James most recently worked as the Chief of Party - Data, Evaluation, Learning and Technical Assistance (DELTA) Activity at IBI - International Business Initiatives starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief of Party - Somalia Monitoring and Learning Project at International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI) from May 2022 to October 2022.

Before that, James worked at VEN Global Consulting Group as a Management Consultant | Technical Adviser | MEL & CLA Expert from March 2021 to April 2022. James also held the role of Chief of Party - Resilience Learning Activity at ACDI/VOCA from October 2019 to February 2021.

Additionally, James has experience at DAI, where they held the positions of Deputy Chief of Party / Regional Director, Africa Lead II from March 2018 to October 2019, and Technical Programs Director, Africa Lead II from February 2017 to February 2018.

Prior to that, they worked at Relief International as the Africa Regional Program Development Manager from February 2014 to January 2017. James also worked as a Program Officer at Pact from October 2010 to January 2014 and as an Associate at The Kaizen Company from September 2009 to October 2010.

Furthermore, they worked as a Public Sector Evaluation Consultant at UNDP from September 2009 to May 2010 and as a Program Associate at Education For Employment from May 2009 to September 2009.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated skills in project management, capacity development, monitoring and evaluation, and technical assistance across various sectors in Africa and beyond.

James Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Anthropology, and Natural Resource Management from Kansas State University, which they earned in 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree in Governance & M&E from New York University, completing it in 2010.
