Marcus Stein has held several roles in the education sector since 2008. Marcus began their career as an English Teacher at Carencro Middle School, where they promoted effective student learning through discipline and class management plans. In 2010, they moved to Lake Forrest Charter Elementary, where they instructed using data disaggregation as a means of implementing targeted lessons and action plans. In 2012, Marcus joined AXI Education Solutions as a Teaching & Learning Consultant, where they applied knowledge of Promethean technologies and Common Core Institute regarding CCSS to planning and conducting custom Professional Development sessions. In 2014, Marcus became an English Teacher/ Promethean Trainer at St. James Parish Public School System. Finally, in 2021, Marcus joined Kami as Head Of Business Development and Teacher Success Champion.

Marcus Stein obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education (Grades 6-12) from McNeese State University between 2004 and 2008. In 2010, they were certified in Capturing Kids' Hearts by The Flippen Group. In 2012, they became a Promethean Trainer. In 2015, they were certified with a Louisiana Teaching Certificate (ELA Grades 6-12) from the Louisiana Department of Education. In 2016, they began pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Nicholls State University, which they completed in 2017. In 2017, they became a Google Certified Trainer. Finally, in 2018, they were certified as a Kami Certified Hero by Kami.
