Mailani Veney

CEO at Kana Systems

Mailani Veney has a long and varied career. Mailani began their professional journey in 1996 as a Fitness Instructor for Squad Fitness, teaching classes incorporating HIIT, cardio dance, kick-boxing, yoga, Pilates, and strength training. In 2005, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Heated Concrete Solutions, and the same year they were also appointed as the Director of MBA Placement at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2007, they moved to A. Strategy as Vice-President of Business Development, and in 2008 they became the CEO of Kona Consulting Group. In 2011, they joined Lincoln Industries as a Corporate Entrepreneur, and in 2015 they founded LocalAnyDay, where they still serve as CEO. In 2019, they were elected President of Rotary 14 and also became the CEO of Kana.Systems. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2009.

Mailani Veney has a diverse educational background, having earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in International Business and Strategic Management, an MBA from the École Supérieure de Commerce Et de Management in France in European Union Business, and an MBA from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia in Environmental & Resource Management. Mailani also studied Undergraduate Studies at Pitzer College as part of the Claremont Colleges. Additionally, they recently earned a Certificate from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology in NUC 150: Nuclear Enterprise Orientation.
