The Kane County Health Department, a department of county government, was founded in 1985 by resolution​ of the Kane County Board. The Health Department offers a full array of public health programs and is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Our mission is to promote, protect and advocate for health and wellness of 514,000+ Kane County residents we serve.
