Risa Schulman

Risa Schulman, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Science and Regulatory Advisor at Kaneka Nutrients while also operating the consulting business Tap~Root, established in 2010, which focuses on transforming scientific evidence into successful products in challenging markets. With extensive experience in various leadership roles across numerous companies, including Mars, POM Wonderful, and Solgar® Vitamin & Herb, Risa has contributed significantly to product development, research, and regulatory compliance within the food and supplement sectors. Risa holds a PhD in Plant Biology and Biotechnology from Rutgers University, a Master of Environmental Science from Yale, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University.
