Rinesh Singh

Rinesh Singh has extensive work experience, starting as an Article Trainee at Deloitte South Africa in 2007. During their time there, they managed and supervised audit engagements for various clients. In 2010, they joined EY as a Senior Associate Internal Audit, where they conducted internal control assessments and identified and mitigated risks. In the same year, they also started working at Absa Group, initially as a Compliance Consultant, where they monitored compliance against SA legislation and managed compliance projects. Rinesh then served as a Business Manager, analyzing company processes and controls, and as a Client Analyst and Credit Sanctioner, conducting research and financial analysis for credit applications. Rinesh was later promoted to Provincial Manager Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Performance Management, where they initiated and managed strategic projects and chaired the Business Bank risk forum. In 2019, they joined iXerv as the Group CFO, and in 2020, they became the Financial Director at Kanga Finance (Pty) Ltd. Overall, Rinesh Singh has demonstrated a diverse skill set in finance, risk management, compliance, and strategic project management throughout their career.

Rinesh Singh's education history includes a range of qualifications in the field of business and commerce. From 2003 to 2005, they studied at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Accounting, Auditing, Tax, Managerial Accounting, and Finance. Rinesh graduated with the highest distinction, Summa Cum Laude. Following this, in 2006, Rinesh pursued further studies at the same university and achieved a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honors degree, again with distinction, Cum Laude. This degree focused on Accounting, Auditing, Tax, Managerial Accounting, and Finance. Lastly, from 2007 to 2009, Rinesh attended the SAICA: South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, where they obtained the qualification of CA(SA).
