Tara Nesbitt

Tara Nesbitt, Ed.D., currently serves as the Career and Technical Education District Coordinator for Kansas City Public Schools since September 2021, overseeing educational programs for a diverse student body of over 15,000. In addition, Tara operates as a self-employed tutor for K-8 students through the Educational Doctor, LLC, and has been the CEO of CandyHairedDollz, LLC since 1996. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Director of the Academic Resource Center at Harris-Stowe State University and various positions in St. Louis Public Schools. Tara holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University and multiple degrees, including Master's degrees in Educational Leadership, Secondary Education, and Human Resources Management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
