Eva James Toia

Eva James Toia currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Kansas City Symphony since April 2025, bringing a wealth of experience in development and fundraising from previous roles. Prior to this position, Eva worked as a fundraiser for a brief period in early 2025 and held the title of Director of Development at The Santa Fe Opera from June 2023 to March 2025. Experience at Opera Philadelphia as Director of Major Gifts spanned from March 2019 to June 2023, and earlier roles included Director of Major Gifts and Campaigns at Settlement Music School, Associate Director of Development at The Dallas Opera, and Director of Development at Dallas Wind Symphony. Eva also served as Director of Development for the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas and as Director of Alumni at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Eva holds a BFA in Design & Production from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, earned between 1991 and 1995.
