Lisa Fickenscher is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in non-profit management and corporate sponsorship. Currently serving as the Corporate Sponsorships & Grant Manager at the Kansas City Zoo since April 2019, Lisa oversees the planning and implementation of the zoo's corporate fundraising program, including the annual gala, Jazzoo. As Board President of ScrapsKC since February 2018, Lisa contributes leadership to the organization. Previously, Lisa owned and operated InMotion Consulting, aiding former professional athletes in their post-retirement development, and has held various positions in organizations focused on education and community initiatives, including Project Work Unlimited and Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City. Lisa's academic background includes a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and multiple Bachelor's degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University, emphasizing Global Studies, Political Science, and languages.
