Civic Information Officer And Executive Editor Of The Journal at Kansas Leadership Center

Chris Green has extensive experience in journalism and civic engagement, currently serving as Civic Information Officer and Executive Editor of The Journal at the Kansas Leadership Center since January 2013. Throughout this role, Chris evolved the quarterly magazine into a nationally recognized publication, earning a Sigma Delta Chi award in 2019 for investigative reporting. Prior to this position, Chris worked as a freelance researcher, writer, and editor, developing leadership curriculum materials, and covered legislative issues as a Statehouse Correspondent for Harris News Service. Chris's early career included roles as an investigative/government reporter and education reporter at The Hutchinson News, winning multiple state press awards for investigative excellence and communication skills. Educational qualifications include an MSc in International and European Politics from The University of Edinburgh and a BA in Mass Communication from Baker University, among other professional development programs.
