Tim Steffensmeier

Tim Steffensmeier is an accomplished academic and leader in communication studies, currently serving as the Assistant Vice President and Director of Engagement & Outreach at Kansas State University since August 2005. With a trajectory that includes positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor, Tim has contributed significantly to the field, also holding roles as Director of the Leadership Communication doctoral program and Department Head of Communication Studies. Tim's expertise is further demonstrated through a position as Director of Third Floor Research at the Kansas Leadership Center since 2010, and a previous faculty role at The University of Texas at Austin. Tim's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Communication Studies/Rhetoric from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University, and a B.A. in Communication and Marketing from Hastings College.
