Hao Shi

Hao Shi's work experience begins with their role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, Tutor, and Supplemental Instruction Leader at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2013. They then worked as a Visiting Researcher at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in 2014. In 2015 and 2019, Hao Shi was a Student at Marine Biological Laboratory for short periods. From 2013 to 2020, they held various roles at Cornell University, including Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Community Advisor, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2021, Hao Shi became the Chief Executive Officer of Kanvas Biosciences, and in 2022, they transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer, which they currently hold.

Hao Shi holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, which was earned between 2009 and 2013. From 2013 to 2020, Hao Shi pursued and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Cornell University.
