Agharza N. Bakhshiyev

Agharza N. Bakhshiyev is currently the Director of Risk Management at Kapital Bank OJSC. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Credit Risk at DemirBank from June 2014 to July 2015, and as the Head of Market Risk at Unibank from October 2012 to May 2014. Their responsibilities at both of these positions included credit risk mitigation, provisioning, various credit risk analyses, stress testing, and more.

Bakhshiyev began their career in the financial industry in 2008 as a broker and dealer at Brokdil-Az. In September 2007, they became the Chief Specialist of Treasury Department at AtaBank OJSC, where they were responsible for investment banking, interbank loans, foreign exchange operations, asset and liability management, and liquidity management.

Bakhshiyev has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry and has gained extensive knowledge in the areas of risk management, credit risk, market risk, investment banking, and more. Agharza is a highly skilled and experienced professional who has demonstrated their ability to successfully manage risk and grow businesses.

Agharza N. Bakhshiyev has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Lausanne - UNIL, a B.Sc in International Economics from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, and a certification from the BAFT in 2018 FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM. Agharza also has a certification from the EBRD in ALM Workshop, a certification from ATTF in Operational Risk Management, and a certification from ECRS LLC in Financial Stress testing and Value at Risk models. Additionally, they have a certification from Azerbaijan Bank Training Center in Currency operations in Forex market and a certification from the State Committee for Securities of Azerbaijan Republic in Broker and Dealer certificates.
