Benjamin Todd Jealous is a seasoned leader in civil rights and social justice advocacy, currently serving as a Partner at Kapor Capital since December 2013, where involvement focuses on seed-stage, social impact technology ventures. Previously, Jealous held the position of President and CEO at the NAACP from 2008 to 2013, achieving significant membership growth and spearheading major civil rights initiatives. Jealous also served as President of the Rosenberg Foundation, leading efforts in criminal justice reform, and as Director of the US Domestic Human Rights Program at Amnesty International, where notable reports on racial profiling and juvenile sentencing were produced. Additionally, leadership experience includes being Executive Director of the National Newspaper Publishers Association and Managing Editor of the Jackson Advocate. Jealous is an alumnus of Columbia University with a BA in Political Science and holds an MS in Comparative Social Research from the University of Oxford.
