Paul Bocalan-Lim

Associate Marketing Director at Kapor Center for Social Impact

Paul Bocalan-Lim is the Associate Marketing Director for The Foundation, with 7+ years of marketing and digital content experience.

As a first generation Filipino-American, and East Bay Native, he is passionate about the preservation and celebration of Oakland’s spirit and history of social justice, diversity and activism.

Prior to this role, Paul served as the Social Media Manager for Visit Oakland and managed the company’s brand reputation in digital spaces. As the outward facing voice of Oakland, his goal was to reflect the authentic voices of the community. Paul fostered and managed relationships with community leaders, artists, thought leaders, and organizers in Oakland. (The Black Panther Party, Golden State Warriors, Marshawn Lynch).

Paul received his BA in Business Administration from CSU East Bay, and is a proud Chabot College gladiator. As a photographer/videographer, he is inspired by the communities that weave the fabric of this “Town.” His personal interests include collecting hot sauces, tidying with the KonMari Method, and boxing.
