Gunnar Sigurðsson

Gunnar Sigurðsson is an experienced technology leader with a substantial background in engineering and software development. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Kaptio since May 2024, Gunnar previously held positions such as Director of Systems Architecture at Controlant, where leadership focused on technical vision and architecture for event-driven systems. With a strong educational foundation, including a Master of Business Administration from Reykjavik University, Gunnar has also contributed as a Final Project Instructor at Reykjavik University since 2017 and has managed multiple development teams at Valitor. Early career roles included positions as a Software Developer at several organizations, where expertise in technologies such as AWS, Azure, and .NET was demonstrated.
