Mark Brennand has worked in the software engineering industry since 1987. Mark began their career as a Programmer at SD Scicon in 1987, then went on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Syntek in 1989. In 1994, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Berkeley Software Services. Mark then moved to OpenText in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for the design and development of numerous high volume, high availability applications for internal and external customers. In 2014, they began working at Nervecentre Software as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2015, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Harris Corporation, responsible for the design and development of portals for hospital use. Mark then moved to NantHealth, where they continued to work on the Emergency Department Workflow product. In 2017, they began working at Allscripts as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2018, they began working at Sage as a Principal Engineer and Engineering Team Lead, responsible for leading the team that works on the Time piece. Most recently, in 2021, they began working at Kaptio Travel as a Team Lead Platform Engineer, working on the first Salesforce platform based end-to-end travel reservations, contracts, operations and distribution management system for travel providers.
Mark Brennand completed their secondary education at New Mills School from 1977 to 1984. Mark then went on to pursue a B.Sc. (hons) in Computer Science at the University of Essex, which they completed in 1987. In March 2020, they obtained a Performance-Based Hiring certification from LinkedIn.
