Shunyao Li

Shunyao Li has an extensive work experience that spans from 2011 to the present. In 2011, they served as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Multimedia Research Intern at LG Electronics (Mobile Research Lab). In 2016, they were a UX Engineer Intern at Google, and in 2017, they were an Associate Product Manager Intern at Google. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Product Manager at Google, where they launched the Camera Go product from 0 to 1 and scaled it from 1 to 1M. In 2021, they were a Founder and Course Creator at Communicate at Work and a Founders Fellow (ODF8) at On Deck. Currently, they are a Senior Product Manager at Kapwing.

Shunyao Li has an extensive educational background. From 2009 to 2013, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University. Shunyao then attended UC Santa Barbara from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field. In 2012 and 2013, they also attended the Tsinghua - UC Berkeley Global Technology Entrepreneurship Education Program as a non-degree student. Additionally, they obtained five Coursera Course Certificates from 2015 to 2018, in the fields of Human-Centered Design, Input and Interaction, Social Computing, User Experience, and Design Principles.
