Brent Yagelski

Brent Yagelski, CPA, CIA, CFE has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and accounting. Brent is currently serving as the Senior Director of Internal Audit at KAR Global since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Internal Audit at KAR Global from September 2012 to March 2021. In addition to their corporate roles, Brent has also been actively involved with the IIA Indianapolis Chapter, where they served as a Member of the Board of Governors from June 2015 to May 2018, as President from June 2014 to May 2015, and as Treasurer from June 2012 to May 2014. Before joining KAR Global, Brent worked as an Internal Audit Manager at KAR Auction Services Inc. from January 2006 to September 2012. Brent also gained experience working as an Internal Audit Group Leader at ADESA Inc. from May 2003 to January 2006. Prior to their roles in internal audit, Brent worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP from 2002 to 2003 and as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen from July 1999 to June 2002. Their career in accounting began as a Staff Accountant at United Insurance Agency in 1998. Throughout their career, Brent has achieved various professional certifications including CPA, CIA, and CFE.

Brent Yagelski, CPA, CIA, CFE completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Ball State University from 1994 to 1999. Brent has also obtained additional certifications, including the Alteryx Designer Core Certification in November 2018 and the Alteryx Designer Advanced Certification in April 2020, both from Alteryx.
