Pooja Priya is a dedicated support worker currently employed at Kare Plus South Cork, where responsibilities include assisting children aged 15-18 in emergency care units during their transition to residential care. Concurrently, Pooja serves as a postgraduate tutor at University College Cork, aiding mature and disabled Master's students in their dissertation design and academic progression. Additionally, Pooja is a postgraduate student representative in the School of Sociology at UCC, advocating for the needs of Master's and doctoral students. Previous roles include tutoring undergraduate students in sociology at UCC, providing home support for Nigerian families at St. Joseph's Foundation, and holding academic positions as an assistant professor at Galgotias University and lecturer at PDM University. Early experiences include internships with the Ministry of Defence of India and the Global Research Forum for Diaspora and Transnationalism, as well as qualitative research at Delhi University. Pooja is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Sociology at University College Cork, following a rich academic background in sociology from various esteemed institutions.
